The purpose of this state-wide bill - HF 2379 and SF 2139 - is to overcome restrictions and exemptions imposed by employer-based and private insurance companies.  Some private insurance companies have adequate coverage, but many people have seen an alarming trend in restricting or eliminating coverage for these services. young man

Seventeen other states have already passed similar legislation.  This type of law in Minnesota would make sure that people have access to medically necessary care.
